My Experience so far as a Personal Trainer...I’m now approaching 20 years experience as a personal trainer in Nottingham and I still wake up on a Monday morning and love going to work. It’s what I’ve wanted to do since I was a teenager.
My passion for fitness and therapy pushes me to constantly better my practice. I have studied countless CPD qualifications, workshops and seminars. I seek out the best educators in the world to continue my studies, better my practice and stay ahead of the curve. I am also Global master Trainer for FitPro & ViPR as well as UK Master Trainer for Powerplate, TRX & Queenax.
Who I work with...The majority of my client base consists of males and females aged between 25 -50 and living in and around Nottingham. I am certainly not exclusive to that segment and have worked with all age ranges, my youngest ever client is 11 and my oldest 83.
I have worked with… clients from many different backgrounds including general public, full time athletes, celebrities and royalty from all around the UK. I train clients on a 1-2-1 basis, partners or small groups and larger groups including corporate training.
What I specialise in… I am a fully qualified personal trainer with additional nutrition and therapy related qualifications and so I like to blend the three to create an all round service. I work particularly well with individuals that are new or returning to exercise but have also worked with many to improve sports performance or manage long term injury / illness.

Whatever your aspirations, I can help with everything from weight training to yoga; endurance fitness to mobilisation of muscles and massage. This is combined with my master’s degree in nutrition allows me to blend the entire subject of health and wellbeing and to approach the areas you need help with most.
I love what I do and what I enjoy most, is passing this knowledge onto you to help you to benefit from the level of experience that I have gained. I also love to build a relationship with my customers, and coach them in a really friendly, approachable way.
Engaging a personal trainer isn’t just about sweating until you drop 6 days a week (though we can do that if you want), it’s customising a program to suit you and help you to achieve your goals.
Whilst I have competed internationally in one of the most gruelling endurance sports that there is, years ago at the start of my own journey I couldn’t do a pull-up and weight training scared me. I know how it feels to not be able to touch your toes and how demoralising it is to be surprisingly out of breath after a short jog; those things are all quite normal. I’ll push your boundaries slightly further each time we train and you can relax, in the quiet confidence that I have all the tools to keep pushing you further but keep you fit, flexible and injury free.
A brief run-down of my qualifications:
Personal Trainer (level 3)
Degree and master’s degree in human nutrition
Sports massage therapist
Wattbike Master Trainer

My sporting career was cut short due to injury. If I had known then what I know now, who knows, but there is no substitute for experience. So I decided to train people in what I could no longer do.
I have trained many different people, from elite athletes to 75 year olds with major health problems, as well as children's camps ever since. For 15 years in all, with 4 years at university sandwiched in between, I have dedicated myself to providing professional personal training.
I hope my knowledge and passion for the industry will continue to motivate people for years to come, as I am lucky to love walking into work every morning. My fellow trainers and I have enjoyed great success in our industry, and long may it continue.

I’ve been in the fitness industry for 10 years, I’ve trained myself for 15 years and I’m lucky enough to do what I love as my job.
Health and fitness is achieved through good quality training and nutrition, but you also need to enjoy it! Together we’ll set you realistic but challenging goals in order for you to achieve the best results. I have a broad range of clients whose goals include:
- weight loss and improving their general fitness
- wanting to improve their performance at a particular sport or activity
- learning to run / competing a 5k, 10k / training for a half marathon, marathon, triathlon
- pain free movement.
Working with my clients to meet and exceed their goals is what my job’s all about and it’s why I enjoy it so much.
I also have great results with functional therapy, enabling my clients to recover from injury or achieve pain free movement. Through movement assessments and corrective techniques, I treat the symptoms of the injury/movement restriction, as well as identifying and correcting the cause of the problem. Using this information, i can then design a training programme to ensure the problem doesn’t return.
Personal training is a partnership and by working together we can make a positive and lasting difference to your life.

I achieved a First Class Honours degree in Sport Rehabilitation and Exercise Science from the University of Nottingham and have worked in professional rugby and the private sector since graduating. I have always been very passionate about sport which led to the interest in injuries and their assessment and rehabilitation. I have previously participated in netball, cricket and football regularly.
I really enjoy the problem-solving aspect of my job and the satisfaction of assisting a patient back to their daily lifestyle/hobbies. During my post graduate employment I have developed my assessment and treatment methods as well as experience in developing and implementing rehabilitation programmes.
Due to my previous role in the rugby medical team I have also completed my qualification in Immediate Care in Sport Level 3 allowing me to treat those with life threatening injuries prior to hospital transfer. I have a particular interest in the musculoskeletal aspect of healthcare, especially sports injuries due to my experience and focus of my degree.
